Welding

Claiborne Academy offers welding classes on campus. Students learn and implement MiG and Stick welding procedures and practice safety skills required by OSHA guidelines. Students are encouraged to apply cross curriculum subjects by using math, geometry, reading and art when designing, measuring and cutting projects. Students also benefit by gaining knowledge of workplace ethics and expectations.

Students have been busy making and marketing deer stands, horseshoe art and other farm related items such as small and large hay racks.

Future plans are to build a greenhouse to teach Horticulture. Students will be able to plant, grow and market flowers, hanging baskets and garden plants each Spring. These classes are for Jr. High through High School.
