What is a private school?

Private schools are educational institutions that do not receive any funding from the federal, state, or local government. While private schools are asked to adhere to certain guidelines, many policies are left to the individual school to decide. In contrast to public schools, your private school options aren’t limited to a specific school district. You may choose to apply to any private school, regardless of the location of your residence.

What is attending a private school like?

When attending a private school, you not only have a higher chance of academic success, you also have more preparation for college level coursework.  Student-teacher ratios are lower than in public schools; therefore, more one on one time is provided for the student.  Our teachers and staff thrive to model good values that will live on with your child as an adult.

What curriculum do you use?

Claiborne Academy follows a skills-based sequence of planned goals, objectives and methods to achieve efficiency in content and applied learning.  The curriculum is a progression of foundational skills and rigorous academic experiences to obtain college or career readiness.

How do you integrate technology in the classroom?

Claiborne Academy uses Chromebooks, graphing calculators and Google Classroom.  These types of technology are used to improve engagement, knowledge retention, individual learning and collaboration.

What is the average class size?

The average class size is 10-15 students.

Does tuition have to be paid up front?

No. We have a variety of payment options available.  Annual payments are due July 1^st and receive a $200 discount.  Semi-Annual payments are due July 1^st and January 2^nd and receive a $100 discount.  You can also pay ten (10) monthly installments which are due August 1^st through May 1^st or twelve (12) monthly installments which are due June 1^st through May 1^st.
